Huffman MetroPark

Huffman MetroPark, was named after the Huffman family, founders of the Huffy Bike Corporation back in 1892. Continuing his family's legacy, Horace Huffman, Jr., became a community organizer pushing for the development of river bikeways in the 1970s.

Huffman MetroPark provides many opportunities for bicyclists. The park entrance can be accessed on your bike by riding across Huffman Dam on the Huffman Prairie Bikeway from either the Mad River Bikeway or from the Buckeye & North Country Trails. The main park entrance is off State Route 4, Lower Valley Pike. Alternatively, ride the Huffman Prairie Bikeway to Huffman Prairie, where the Wright brother's tested their airplanes and learned to be pilots. This is also a fantastic location to get pictures.  If you're coming to mountain bike, the entrance to MoMBA is at 4485 Union School House Road. It is recommended that you drive your bike(s) to MoMBA or rent a bike at the park. Trails for all levels of riders are available from beginners to advanced riders. Check the website for information about programs, trail descriptions and bike rentals.

Whether beginning your ride here, stopping to enjoy the park's natural diversity or for a picnic, be sure to let us know what you liked best about your visit! Feel free to share your pictures as well.
